On November 17, 2025, Dr. Peter John Wanner, founding president of Balsamo Outreach for Learning and Teaching (BOLT), signed a Memorandum of Agreement and Memorandum of Understanding with Dr. Ir. Muh, Hasbi Abbas for Institut Kesenian Makassar with BOLT. Dr. Wanner also was the keynote speaker for an International Seminar where he discussed collaboration and the various opportunities for Students and Teachers to develop themselves further. Dr. Wanner touched on cooperation and collaboration through the following ways listed in the Memorandum of Understanding:
- International contacts
- International exchanges
- Double degree opportunities
- Joint research and publication
- Joint courses, workshops and conferences
- Joint journal and book publishing
Institut Kesenian Makassar put forth a commitment to the above areas with the joint collaboration of BOLT through the Memorandum of Agreement as follows:
- Intitiate opportunities foreign cooperation
- Explore research and publication methods
- Discuss and introduce scientific characters of research
- Music and Dance Arts performances
The seminar and agreement between BOLT and Institut Kesnian Makassar increases the collaborators and researchers increasing opportunities for collaboration.
